Our Pillars
01
Community Engagement
Entering the Stuyvesant community is intimidating to many freshmen. Even deciding weather or not to attend specific events can be difficult, as it’s often unclear to decipher which events cater to freshmen, and which don’t. Furthermore, not all events are accessible to people of lower economic backgrounds. Subsequently, many freshmen don’t attend community events, and end up having an even more difficult time connecting with peers and the Stuy community. A focus of our campaign will be ensuring that every event is not only extremely fun and engaging, but also establishes a welcoming and accessible environment. Social Support
Neither of us came to Stuy with an established friend group, Mitali being one out of three students from her middle school accepted to Stuy, and Maxanne being the only one. Both of us understand having to build friendships from the ground up. We're dedicated to making the process of building friendships and connecting with others as easy as possible, and intend on doing everything in our power to build connection for every student. We understand that lacking social support can be just as harmful as lacking academic support. To learn more about our various systems we'll create to support the social life of students, visit our

Communication & Student Voice

For our campaign, "Student voice" isn't just a catchy slogan; rather, we have realistic goals and thorough plans to reach effective and efficient communication with students. However, rather than limiting our campaign to communication with student alone, our campaign will focus on communication on all fronts: Communication with students, communication with teachers, and communication with upper classmen / other student caucuses. To learn more about how we intend to communicate on all 3 fronts, visit our
